Okay, me and my mom were searching on google “Audience Studies” because that company sent us a video to watch and fill out some paper work… BLAH BLAH BLAH… Anyway, someone named tOdd, wrote on Blogger this blog post. IT’S SO FUNNY! Comment if you like it! =3

So the other day I got a packet of stuff. A videotape and some booklets in the mail. I followed the directions and watched the tape and filled out the paperwork. It came with workbooks and I had to pick which products I liked best. Here’s a page from the workbook.:
After watching the program I had to fill out another booklet with similar products and list which ones I liked best. Whatever.
The video tape had sitcom called ‘Dads’ with C. Thomas Howell and some other dudes. Three divorced dads with three kids. It was as typical as bad sitcoms go. But like a good boy I sat through the show and the commercials and didn’t rewind or fast forward the tape as the instructions said.
The Audience Studies dude called to followup and the conversation was something like this:
Guy: Hello. I’m calling from Audience Studies and I have some questions for you.
Me: Ok.
Guy: Did you watch the videotape?
Me: Yes.
Guy: Did you fill out the forms?
Me: Yes.
Guy: Do you have the forms in front of you?
Me: Yes.
Guy: Did you watch the sitcom ‘Dads’?
Me: Yes.
Guy: What did you like best about the sitcom?
Me: Mr. Lizard.
(I really didn’t like much about the sitcom but there was one side character called “Mr. Lizard” who was the entertainment for the children’s party and he kept a live lizard in his mouth at all times and apparently had done that since high school according to one of the dads who looked like Tony Danza 20 years ago. Something bout Mr. Lizard was funny to me though.)
Guy: Mr. Lizard?
Me: Yeah I liked Mr. Lizard.
Guy: What did you like about the Mr. Lizard?
Me: I liked that Mr. Lizard kept a lizard in his mouth.
Guy: Anything else you like about Mr. Lizard.
Me: I liked that his name was “Mr. Lizard.”
Guy: Was there anything else you liked about the sitcom ‘Dads’?
Me: Not really.
Guy: Just Mr. Lizard.
Me: Yes.
Guy: Did you see a commercial for a shaving cream during the show?
Me: Yes.
Guy: What product was the shaving cream?
Me: Edge gel.
Guy: What do you remember about the commercial?
Me: It was animated.
Guy: Anything else?
Me: Not really.
Guy: Was there anything else you liked about the commercial?
Me: Ummm… I liked the colors.
Guy: You liked the colors.
Me: Yes. I liked the bright colors.
Guy: Any particular colors?
Me: Nope.
Guy: Just the colors in general?
Me: Yes. I liked the colors in general.
The guy went on to ask about other commercials and then other products in the workbook and then he thanked me. My answers were so sort of vague and certain products I had no interest in whatsoever and just picked em at random. I wondered how this all added up in whatever vast data bank and how my answers were of any value to anybody. How could they be worth anything? How could it mean anything that maybe I like Skippy Peanut Butter over Jif and like Crest over Colgate and Mr. Lizard and the colors in an Edge commercial? What does that add up to? I don’t know..
But if you see an animated lizard on a jar of Skippy peanut butter with a bright colored coupon on the back for Colgate toothpaste…. that might be my fault.
ok bye!
tOdd
Thanks to Arvi for sending this in!!

Hey all! I love the band Paramore and I wrote a report about them! *** NOTE : I HAVE GOT BACKROUND INFO, QOUTES AND ETC FROM WIKIPEDIA.COM! THE REST I WROTE! ***
ABOUT PARAMORE:
2007–2008: Riot! and other projects
Paramore began recording their second album, Riot! In January 2007, ending production in March without the guitar of Hunter Lamb (who left the band early in 2007 after getting married) without Lamb, lead guitarist Farro was required to play both guitar parts on the album. Taylor York, who had been in a band with the Farro brothers before the two met Williams, joined as a replacement for Lamb. After being courted by producers Neal Avron and Howard Benson, Paramore opted to record Riot! With New Jersey producer David Beneath (Your Vegas, Breaking Benjamin), releasing the album on June 12, 2007. Riot! Entered the Billboard 200 at number 20, the UK charts at number 24, and sold 44,000 its first week in the United States. The name Riot! Had been chosen because it meant “a sudden outburst of uncontrolled emotion”, and it was a word that “summed it all up”. The first single from the album, released June 21, 2007, “Misery Business”, is, according to Williams, “more honest than anything I’ve ever written, and the guys matched that emotion musically.”
Summer of 2007 saw Paramore participating on their third Warped Tour and posting journals of their experiences on yourhereblog for MTV. In June they were declared by Rolling Stone as “Ones to Watch”. Paramore made their live television debut on Fuse Networks daily show, The Sauce The second single from Riot!, “Hallelujah”, was released on July 30, 2007, and is currently only available online and on UK television. The video, much like “All We Know”, features backstage footage and live performances. In August 2007, Paramore had been featured in television spots on MTV, performing acoustic versions of their songs or acting in short accompaniments to MTV program commercials. As “MTV Artists of the Week”, the band filmed the faux camping themed spots in Queens, New York, all written and directed by Evan Silver and Gina Fortunato. MTV.com also has a collection of short videos with the band to promote Riot! As well. For weeks in August 2007, the “Misery Business” video was the number one streamed video at MTV.com. On October 8, Paramore played “Misery Business” live on Late Night with Conan O’Brien, a booking made possible due to the friendship struck between the band and Max Weinberg during the 2007 Warped Tour. In August, Paramore participated in New Found Glory’s music video for their cover of Sixpence None the Richer’s song “Kiss Me”.
On October 11, 2007, the music video for “Crushcrushcrush” debuted on the United States television as the next single from Riot! The video for “Crushcrushcrush” featured the band playing a performance in a barren desert, being spied upon, and later destroying their equipment. The single was officially released in the United States on November 19 and made available in the United Kingdom on November 12, 2007. Williams recorded guest vocals for the tracks “The Church Channel” and “Plea” for the Say Anything concept album In Defense of the Genre released on October 23, 2007. The group performed live, acoustic style in Boston on November 29, 2007 for FNX radio. On December 31, 2007, Paramore performed on the MTV New Year’s Eve program which ran from 11:30 p.m. to 1:00 a.m.
About Hayley Williams {Lead Singer}
In 2002, at the age of 13, Williams moved from her hometown Meridian, Mississippi, to Franklin, Tennessee, where she met fellow band members Josh and Zac Farro in school.[3][4] Shortly after arriving, she began taking vocal lessons with Brett Manning. While still in school, she tried out for a local funk cover band called The Factory where she met Jeremy Davis. After The Factory disbanded, Hayley and Jeremy began writing songs with the Farro brothers and became Paramore. In 2005, John Janick, founder of record label Fueled by Ramen, signed a contract with them.
